With Friday the 13th having passed us by this January, there remains one notable event left this month: the move-in back to college for the spring semester. Many of us are beyond happy to be reunited with our friends, but it's a different story when it comes to classes, homework, studying, and other collegiate obligations. Although this is approaching fast, it's routine at this point for many college kids, very slightly akin to movie icon Jason Voorhees and his own murderous routine. With Friday the 13th still fresh in peoples' minds, here is the return to college for spring semester, as told by Camp Crystal Lake's favorite serial killer:
1. When you walk into class hoping to make a good impression.
2. When you settle back in to your living space & realize you left something important at home.
3. When you find out that one of your teachers had assigned homework over winter break.
4. When you see someone new on campus who looks just like you.
5. When you hear that first alarm in the morning after sleeping in for so long.
6. When your outfit gets ruined right before your first new class.
7. When you have to wake your roommates up for class (or vice-versa).
8. When the teacher starts up the first power-point of the semester.
9. When someone brings up politics the first day of class.
10. When you're late to class & behind slow walkers.
11. When the teacher assigns class work & homework during syllabus week.
12. When you see the amount of work on the syllabus.
13. When you see your friend for the first time in awhile and you start play-fighting.
14. When you're in class looking for people you know.
15. When you claim your seat for the year & let everyone know.
16. When you're a week into the new semester & still haven't recovered from your messed up sleep cycle.
17. When someone good-looking switches into your class.
18. When you're trying to fight off the stress already filling up your head.
19. When you try to be resistant to all the initial school work so you can have fun instead.
20. When you prepare to drown in a semester's worth of work.
