The end of August is just around the corner, and everyone knows what that means. Fall is here, and that means pumpkin spice is coming back in full swing soon enough! Everyone has incredibly conflicting views on the legendary pumpkin spice; some think that pumpkin spice is incredible, while others find it disgusting. Some think that August is too soon to bring back the flavor, while some wish that it was sold all year long. No matter what your opinion is on pumpkin spice, everyone has a view one way or the other. Here are some of the pros and cons of the hit trend in snacks.

Pro: Pumpkin spice smells like the fall.

There really isn't a way to describe the smell of pumpkin spice. It's obviously pumpkin, but there's something about it that brings to mind sitting outside when the leaves start changing and the air starts getting colder. It's so comforting, for those who love the fall. Even if you don't want to drink it, the smell really makes you feel warm and comfortable.

Con: Everything is pumpkin spice flavored.

I personally love a good pumpkin spice latte. I think they're good iced and hot, and Dunkin Donuts makes an incredible pumpkin munchkin. But when they're coming out with Pumpkin Spice potato chips, there's something incredibly wrong. Why would you want to eat something like a chip that tastes like coffee? Even sweet things, like Oreos, don't taste right when they're pumpkin spice flavored. Pumpkin spice should be limited to things you can buy at a Starbucks, and not anything that's packaged and sold on the shelves.

Pro: Pumpkin spice means you can wear Uggs again.

I know what you're probably thinking. Uggs are hideous. Uggs are so horrifically ugly. And I definitely agree. They might not be the cutest shoes, but they're so comfortable. It doesn't matter what they look like, they are so incredibly comfortable. And what goes better together than Uggs and a PSL from Starbucks? Who cares if people think you're basic, you'll be comfortable and warm and that's all that really matters when you have an 8 AM on the Monday after Halloween weekend.

Con: People will judge you if you like it.

According to Urban Dictionary, basic means "something that is uninteresting, vapid, boring, or uncool." One of the things most associated with being basic is drinking a pumpkin spice latte in the fall. Why is that considered basic? Because people like to bring down girls and teens for things that they love. It's a freaking cup of coffee. Let people enjoy what they enjoy, and don't judge them for it.

Pumpkin spice is, in my opinion, one of the best things humanity has to offer. It's basically autumn in a mug, and it's incredible. Every sip tastes like being home during a rainstorm, curled up in bed and watching Netflix while cuddled up with your favorite blanket and maybe your pet. Some people don't like it, and some do, but no matter what your opinion is, pumpkin spice is an important cultural phenomenon that isn't going to go away any time soon.

10 Truths About Being In A Sorority

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
