Crayola crayons can be found around many classrooms, and most people can recall a certain color, like ‘burnt sienna.’ However, there are colors that were once in a Crayola box that are no longer in production (with the exception of mango tango!) Here are a few colors that I found of interest (and ones I remember from my childhood) that have retired from Crayola.

Mango Tango (retired: the only color still circulating since 2003!)


Mulberry (retired: 2003)


Dandelion (retired: 2017)


Magic Mint (retired: 2003)


It's always a sad day when something we all know so well disappears. Especially if it's one of our favorite colors like Dandelion.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here.
