I often say that everyone should work retail once in their life. As a cashier/sales floor team member of a large retail corporation, let me tell you - I've seen some sh*t. From dirty diapers in the shoe section to guests threatening to call corporate over an expired coupon, you never know what you're going to get in a shift. Seriously, it keeps you on your toes. Here are 10 moments everyone has working retail:
1. "I bought this in 1980 and don't have my receipt can I still return it?"
2. When someone leaves perishables that they don't want around the store.
3. Couponers.
4. Having to make a mad dash to the break room to avoid being stopped by a guest.
5. "The customer is always right."
6. "I'll never shop here again!"
7. When you're short-staffed and the store is packed.
8. Agreeing to stay late and immediately regretting it.
10. When your shift ends.
