To gain restoration from bridges that have been burned in the past is not easy. It's a big emotional step, to bring up old situations that have been securely locked away in one's mind. To talk to people who were completely terminated from any recollection, is not easy. Restoration is not easy but it is necessary. Restoration is not a walk in the park; there is pain in restoration. Pain that is necessary in order to fully move on, closure is so important; it is crucial. This is a first in a series of three articles that I hope to discover and share the steps to peace and restoration while I myself am going through the process. Everything I am writing, I have gone through and have begun. I hope to share with my readers what I learn throughout this journey.
If there has been a bridge burnt with people once loved and cared about, then this Restoration series is for you. It is not an easy thing to do, but it builds your character, it builds resilience. It is important to know that. So when there's that tug in your spirit; not to reconnect with someone and rekindle whatever was there, but just to help gain peace. Listen to that. Vice Versa, when someone who was once important to you reaches out, don't ignore it. Listen to what they have to say, because this is more for them. Restoration will come when one is ready.
I hope you're ready to take the plunge and follow me through the deep waters of this experience.
