So Valentine's day is coming up soon, and I'm sure you might be wondering where to take your significant other during this special day. With school coming into full force, you may just want to head to Taco Bell or something to save some time and money. But I'm here to give you better options during this special day. I don't think a "Nacho Bel Grande" is a great way to celebrate your loved one. Here are the top places to go to dinner in the Bloomington-Normal area for Valentine's day.

11. Red Robin

Red Robin is so good! I know this isn't the place you think when you think fancy, but its an affordable meal, with great taste. There is a variety of food options for your liking and you won't be disappointed. I must say that the wait in line will be long though so reserve ASAP

10. Epiphany Farms Restaurant

This place loves to get its ingredients from local farms, and you can really tell by the freshness of their food. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is awesome. Go give it a look!

9. Anju Above

Pizza and sushi? Yup, you can get both at this place. There is a wide variety of quality food that will sure grasp your eye. It's also owned by the same owners of Epiphany so you know that their ingredients are fresh.

8. Medici

When you think of the word "fancy" you probably don't think of a giant tree. But if you go to Medici you'll find a giant tree that provides an atmosphere different than any other restaurant. This is supposed to be an Italian place, but you can find plenty of different options. There is also a wide variety of beers to taste!

7. Lucca Grill

Lucca Grill has a great pub-like atmosphere, but the pizza doesn't taste like it was made at one. Expect awesome pizza that will surely fit everyone's needs.

6. Alexander's Steakhouse

I'm sure many ISU students have wondered what Alexander's tastes like. We all shop at Target and we always pass the place. Now is the perfect time to go. You get to pick your own steak from the locker, and cook it any way you want. You feel in control and the steak is great

5. Kobe Hibachi Steakhouse

Since most ISU students come from the Chicago suburbs, you're probably aware of Benihana's. This place is almost an exact replica so you know what to expect. Dinner and a show are really cool so this is definitely a place to go

4. Tony Roma's

This place gets a bad rap because of untrained employees. But I must say the ribs are really good, and the inside is beautiful.

3. Baxter's American Grill

Fancy looking dishes for a lower price than other places. I highly recommend coming here and getting the fish tacos. They are amazing

2. Biaggi's

Amazing Italian food. If the name of the place wasn't Italian enough, try eating the food. It's all flavorful and delicious, just like Italian's like it

1. Destihl Restaurant And Brew

Three words: Deep. Fried. Bacon. If that doesn't catch your eye, the rest of the menu will. It's all great and would make a perfect dinner date.

Regardless of the place you choose, it all matters about who you're with. The food is a great bonus, but the prize should be your significant other! Happy Valentine's day

April Ludgate

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
