A Restaurant Review: Roanoke's Scrambled

Every now and then, we all get that breakfast craving. Even if it's 6:00 p.m., nothing sounds better than eggs, bacon, and pancakes. For some of us, breakfast is our favorite meal of the day.

Have you ever wished there was a restaurant that solely dedicated its service to breakfast foods and drinks? Well, Roanoke, Virginia's local restaurant, Scrambled, is the perfect place to try.

Located in the heart of downtown Roanoke, Virginia, Scrambled sits in the middle of Market Square. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed to attract Roanoke locals, tourists, visitors, and market shoppers throughout the week.

Scrambled, comically and cleverly, has a name that screams, "Hey, we serve breakfast food all day!" If families wish to grab a bite to eat and shop, Scrambled and the fresh market area are a perfect choice.

Recently, my family and I visited Scrambled for a day trip from Lynchburg, Virginia to Roanoke, Virginia. We, for many years, have been fans of the fresh market area and shopping experience. Prior to my personal experience, my parents tried Scrambled and absolutely loved it.

When we arrived around 10:00 a.m. on a Saturday morning, the hostess was extremely friendly and seated us in a timely fashion. The restaurant has a bar area where customers can enjoy a cup of coffee or a plate of Scrambled's famous omelets or french toast.

Scrambled's omelettes can be served however you wish for them to be cooked. Additionally, they are made with farm fresh eggs and are the perfect healthy meal.

Additionally, customers can enjoy sitting in tables next to the bar or outside under the shaded patio area. My family chose to sit inside next to the bar.

The menu was easy to understand and offered various options for delicious omelettes and egg preferences. To my mother's preference, Scrambled had various options for french toast and pancakes.

I decided to order one of the combos, a plate full of scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries. Both my father and sister chose similar meals, and my mother chose to try their pancakes. All of us were very satisfied with the farm fresh eggs, thick bacon, and fluffy pancakes.

Our waiter, a very personable and hardworking guy, explained any questions we had with ease and brought our drinks and food out to us in a timely fashion.

The restaurant was very clean and located very close to local shopping stores. With the hustle and bustle of the downtown area along with the sunny day, Scrambled created a lovely atmosphere with its friendly workers and tasty menu options.

So, if you or your family is interested in delicious breakfast food, shopping, and a downtown experience, Roanoke's Scrambled is definitely the place to try.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
