A Response To Sean Hannity

Within the past couple of weeks, Sean Hannity, political commentator and the host of "Hannity on Fox News," has gone above and beyond to pick apart Hillary Clinton and her so called "medical issues." During his show on Fox News, Hannity attempted to carry out a medical investigation on Clinton. Hannity's concentration was on the fact that Clinton perhaps isn't physically fit to be President and that she suffers from seizures. A pretty big accusation. His guests for that show were two doctors. He showed multiple videos of Clinton calling her actions "seizure-like." The doctors on the show disagreed and said it was impossible to be able to tell what was going on in the short videos he shared. While neither of the doctors necessarily seemed convinced that she was suffering from anything, they said it was possible that she could suffer neurological trouble from a concussion she experienced years back after becoming dehydrated and fainting. Hannity continues to push that Clinton should release her medical documents to prove she is physically fit to be President.

I, like the two doctors from this interview, have a couple issues with his theory. To begin with, to throw around medical claims that you have absolutely zero proof about is reckless. How do you expect to be a respected political commentator when you create a theory without any concrete evidence? You don't have the right to carelessly throw out accusations to brainwash the American public. Epilepsy and seizures are already misunderstood, we don't need to feed more minds of something that doesn't appear to be relatively close to a seizure. I can guarantee that you could not even name the type of seizure you believe she was experiencing. Sean Hannity, there are more than 40 types of seizures and I bet you couldn't even name five of them.

Another issue I have with this is that your argument is that you believe she's experiencing seizures, making her physically unfit to be President. I was unaware that seizures or epilepsy meant that one shouldn't be able to be President of the United States. I was unaware that this was such an issue that he wants her medical documents released to prove she does or doesn't experience seizures. This may be what infuriates me the most. As someone who has been personally impacted by epilepsy, I can assure you that seizures do not make someone incapable of running our country.

Mr. Hannity, since you seem to be uneducated on the topic of epilepsy, allow me to teach you a few things. 1 in 26 Americans will develop epilepsy in their lifetime. It is estimated that 65 million people on this earth are currently living with epilepsy. 200,000 people are diagnosed with epilepsy each year. Many of people with epilepsy live a normal life with seizures well controlled by medicine. That is not to discredit the daily struggles they experience, but not every case of epilepsy lends itself to being incapable of leading a successful presidency.

On the other side of this argument, many people struggle with violent episodes and are incapable of doing daily tasks, that, however, is that the case with Hillary Clinton, who has done just fine in the workforce. She was elected as the first female senator from New York in 2000 and she was reelected in 2006. She served as secretary of state under Obama from 2009-2013. And not to mention, she won the democratic nomination to run for president in 2016.

If she were incapable of getting things done, don't you think she'd be a little less busy?

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
