Why Respect is Important
psychologytoday

Respect. Respect is something that goes a long way. You give respect, you get it back in return. Or at least that is how it is supposed to work. Here lately I have been faced with many disrespectful people. People such as those who disrespect your property when you have asked repeatedly for them to leave such object alone. Then of course there is always that one person who has to have a smart mouth about every single thing imaginable, even when it is uncalled for.

I am sick and tired of these types of people. I have been dealing with them my whole life and if I let it go on any longer I am going to explode inside. Everyone knows that one person who is rude about everything or simply just doesn't care about anything at all, so I know I am not alone in this boat. Oh and while we're at it, lets not forget about that other person who thinks everything they have or own is better than the rest in this worlds existence. Please! Give me a break for crying out loud! I am so done with all of the nonsense that currently exists within society.

Nothing or nobody in this world is better than everything or anyone else like it. All humans are humans. If you are complaining about not receiving enough respect, well then maybe you should look at your own actions and words to see that the real problem in the situation is you. The world does not revolve around you and it never will. You must earn your respect, or else you will not receive it and be seen to the outside world as a total jerk.

My entire life I have done nothing but try to please others around me. Majority of the time I feel like I am a failure, worthless, and unimportant. I do nothing but show respect for others, try to help them, etc., and I feel like I never receive anything in return, I am unhappy with how all of this plays out onto the table. Why can't the world have more respect like what it seems like it used to?

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
