Respect; a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something elicited by their abilities, qualities, or achievements; something that teenagers never really give to teachers. Now when I say that statement, I do not mean every student there is. But sadly speaking, I do mean a majority of them, including myself at times.
We all have these teachers that we absolutely despise for one thing or another, whether it's that they don't teach enough, teach too much, talk too much, have an annoying voice, or just because they enforce the rules too much. Honestly, even though I know that it's wrong, I have a teacher who makes me mad to the core and I always accuse her of wrong, yet in reality, I'm the one who is wrong. All she is trying to do is make learning more entertaining and get our minds off of so much school work. So even though she makes me angry to the core sometimes, she's a teacher, and she chose to go out and enlighten students like myself with the gift of knowledge.
What I would like to say and point out the most is that we should all RESPECT our teachers and other education givers for dedicating their lives to help us have brighter futures. We need to stop complaining every time that they give homework, classwork, or a project. We need to stop complaining about boring lectures and how they expect us to be dead silent while they are teaching. Even if it's something petty small like enforcing the rules, I'm sure they don't want to force them onto you, but it's their job. They're supposed to act that way and help you become responsible as well. They deserve respect for waking up in the mornings so they could come teach us, so let's give it to them! They are the people that are going to help us mold our future! Without them, we wouldn't be able to succeed. So when you see your teacher or professor, make sure to greet them with a smile for all that they are doing for you, they deserve it.
