Have you had one of those days where everything seems to go right? You feel healthy, you feel like you have style, and you're able to have great interactions with people (maybe you even pet some animals). On the other hand, all of us have those days where everything doesn't seem to go so well. We drop too many things, run behind schedule, and struggle to understand the world around us. No matter what kind of day or week you are having, remember that you are loved and that your life matters.
A lot of the times we just get in the dull routine of our lives and forget to see why we do all that we do. We look at the world around us, but we don't see the big picture and the people in it.
As I look to the people around me, I see encouragement and purpose. Through the teachers or professors in my life I have seen that they care about students' education and who each student is as a person. Through the people I have lived with, I have found encouragement and reasons why I should enjoy each moment in life. I say all of this to say, whatever you are doing, remember why you are doing it and how you can impact others. As we enter the holiday season (October is here), you can really impact someone who is struggling to stay positive because of specific circumstances. It seems like many people start to feel down as the weather gets colder and this season of family and friends being together reminds some people of the losses they have endured.
So, here are some encouraging words from the people in my sphere of influence.
"You're going to be a beautiful bride. He is worth waiting for." ~encouraging housemate
"Have a great day!" ~Office Clerk (Go- have a great day.)
"Yay- I'm excited your teaching today." ~students to teacher
These are true about you:
1. You are enough.
2. You have influence.
3. You have a gift that others need.
4. You can inspire and make a change.
5. You are loved.
Each day you wake up and take a breath, count it as a blessing. You have the opportunity to bless others just by being yourself. Say "hi", "hello", "hola", "howdy", and smile. Remember that your life matters and that you are loved. Please take the time to share that with someone else today.
