Studying Abroad? Submitted all your paperwork to seal the deal? It's official, you've got the study abroad bug that bites months before your departure. Symptoms include excitement for the unpredictable, sudden adrenaline rushes and nervous twists that rest at the bottom of your stomach.

Now you're searching google for tips on studying abroad... Well, let me start off by saying that studying abroad is one of the most rewarding, nurturing and self-investing experiences you will have during your college years. A time in your life where you must experience and learn everything you possibly can. Here are some tips to keep in mind while roaming your home away from home.

1. Familiarize with your host culture.

Get to know your host culture's way of life, when they eat, what they eat, when they sleep etc. Learn about their religion and their holidays that way you won't miss out on any of the traditional festivities.

2. Take pictures.

Take pictures with your friends, the scenery, the food, everything! Always take pictures when you get the chance. Sometimes you'll be having way too much fun, and forget to capture the moment, however, when the thought crosses your mind, snap a shot!!

3. Travel. Travel. Travel.

Whether it's within the country, or outside of the country, travel as much as you possibly can. Who knows when you'll come back next.

4. Talk to the locals.

The best way to learn about a new culture is by talking to the locals themselves. They're also the ones who hold the secrets to the best places to go and eat.

5. Keep a journal.

Days go by fast while studying abroad. Each day has its own set of events that you'll want to cherish forever. Write all about your days in a journal. You'll thank yourself for it in the future when all you want to do is teleport back in time.

6. Pack lightly.

10/10 you'll find things to buy and want to bring home. Guaranteed.

7. Have a budget.

Be smart with your money, obviously.

8. Have a bucket list.

It's good to have an idea of what big things you want to get done before your time abroad is over. Time flies, especially when you're having fun.

9. Get lost.

When you have nothing to do, roam the city without a definite destination. You may be taken by surprise.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
