Remember The Shining Sun Instead Of The Gloomy Rain

I am truly grateful for the life I have today, even if it wasn’t always rainbow and butterflies.

Remember The Shining Sun Instead Of The Gloomy Rain

When writing this article I remember waking up this morning ready for another day at school. But as I was walking, I decided to take in everything Boise has given to me.

As Boise State students we tend to be wrapped up in school, work and social activities and forget the beauty that lies around us every day. I'd like to begin that yes, sometimes I worry about the things I shouldn't and forget about the things that seem more important so I am here to describe what I am thankful for in this beautiful town.

I am so grateful to be attending an amazing college that allows me to be myself and opens the opportunity to attend amazing events like football games, college fairs and to hear from incredible speakers. I am thankful that I get to experience all four seasons every year (even if we're missing a little snow this time). As one who grew up in the California sun, I was blessed to watch the leaves fall in mid-October and snow through mid-February.

I am grateful for the friendships I have made. I never really understood the quote "you truly find your family when you are away" until I found the people I want to grow old with. I am grateful to have been given a chance in a new state, not knowing what is to come, but having it be my greatest blessing.

Recognize the beautiful life you have ahead of you. Take in all the good that you have because time goes by fast. Stop remembering the bad and make time for the good. Appreciate those who have stuck by your side at your greatest good and your worst. Never forget to say "I love you" even when you're upset. Lastly, always take some time for yourself.

I am truly grateful for the life I have today, even if it wasn’t always rainbow and butterflies. It taught me that the best way to grow is to forgive, to admire and lastly to appreciate all that you have. That is why I decided to take in the beautiful day this morning because tomorrow could change, so admire today.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
