15 Quotes From Bojack Horseman That Were TOO Relatable
Netflix

In 2014, Netflix released a show called Bojack Horseman. An animated series, people were ambivalent towards it at first due to the confusing world of anthropomorphic animals intermixed with humans. Also, some people thought that because it was animated that it was intended for children. This is not the case. This show is extremely smart and handles real-life adult issues from drug and alcohol abuse to depression and many other mental disorders. It also mocks Hollywood tropes and does so in an incredibly funny way. I always find myself laughing at the jokes, even the nonverbal ones. It's easily my favorite show. I've watched it from start to finish at least four times and I find something new every time I watch.

Not only do I love the show for its amazing take on adulthood, I admire the quotes. A great deal of lines from the show hit extremely close to home due to the fact that they can relate to so many people. This is a list of some of the quotes that were extremely relatable.

"I need to go take a shower so I can't tell if I'm crying or not."

"When you look at someone through rose-colored glasses, all the red flags just look like flags."

"I hate this. Running is terrible. Everything is the worst."

"It takes a long time to realize how truly miserable you are and even longer to see it doesn't have to be that way."

"I can't say no to people because I want everyone to like me."

"I drove, but I moved my arm a bunch so my Fitbit counted the miles."

"I'm responsible for my own happiness? I can't even be responsible for my own breakfast!"

"Sorry, that sounded dumb. I don't miss you, I'm just bored."

"You know what the problem is with everybody? They all just want to hear what they already believe."

"I know I'm smiling right now, but the light inside me is dying."

"My life is a mess right now and I compulsively take care of other people when I don't know how to take care of myself."

"All those perky, well-adjusted people you see in movies and TV shows? I don't think they exist."

"Life is but an endless series of missed opportunities."

"It's all right, you're gonna get through this."

"Your approval means nothing to me."

I could list quotes like these all day long. I seriously recommend everyone to watch this show, it will change your life!

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way.
