It's that time of the semester.

Time to start thinking about next semester. It feels like the year has barely started and now we're looking to next year. It's time to start emailing your academic advisor and figuring out what classes you need to take for your major and trying to plan out the next four years. It's stressful, frustrating, annoying, and nervewracking. But if the internet has taught me anything, it's that there's always a gif for that.

1. Realizing that it's time to start thinking about next year's classes

2. When your advisor tells you all the university requirements you need in addition to the major requirements

3. When you sit down and look up all the course times to create the perfect schedule

4. Realizing you've got one of the later registration times

5. When you routinely watch the number of available spots in the course you want to make sure no one takes your spot

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.
