You've grown a lot in your teen years, much more than we anticipated or could've imagined. First off, I wanna say how proud I am of you. I'm proud of all the hurt you've endured, the struggle you've overcome, the success you've achieved, and the love you'd let into your life.
We started out scared, stressed, and closed off from people. And even though we're still scared and often times stressed, we've learned to let people in and how to be vulnerable. I'm proud of us for learning that letting people in isn't so scary.
I'm proud of you for seeking out your passions and trying new things. You dive deep and don't look back. You follow what you feel is right and that will always pay off in the end. May we keep that independence and fearlessness.
We used to be shy and soft-spoken but now we're not afraid to talk in front of a crowd. You have opinions and thoughts and they should be shared so don't ever be afraid to speak out again.
We're through selling ourselves short and settling. We are better than that and owe it to ourselves to seek out what we are worth. As we move into our twenties, may it be filled with people who see our worth and respect and appreciate us.
If there's anything I've learned about us, it's that we can endure much more than we realize. The initial pain of anything always seems unbearable, but we're tougher than we think. If you ever doubt it, know that you will get through it, and stronger than ever. Plus, don't be afraid to reach out to those around us, we have such a strong support system.
I'm proud of us and as we leave our teen years behind I can't wait to see what we accomplish in our twenties.
