How College Strengthened My Faith

Rededicating my life to Christ.

How College Strengthened My Faith
YTIMG

Leaving home for college has lead me to Jesus Christ more than ever in my life. Immediately after joining my sorority, I found a sister to take me to church with her. It was a girl who I had never met before, and yet she enthusiastically brought me to her church one morning. That Sunday changed my life.

Her church has since turned into my church as well. We go nearly every Sunday together, and this past week our church finally started in our home building. My church has strengthened my faith in unthinkable ways. My relationship with God is stronger than ever before. I could never have imagined that college would lead me to walk by faith more than ever.

Growing up, I was the outcast in Sunday school and VBS because I did not know all of the stories in the bible. My church in Clarksville has gotten rid of my fear of church small groups. Before starting college, I had never talked so openly about my faith. I had always gone to school where the majority of students belonged to the two major churches in my city. College has opened my eyes to all different aspects of Christianity.

God has moved mountains for me these last few months. He has cleared up confusion and given me strength. Finding a church to call home has made all of the difference while being here. With a church and sisters in Christ to talk about how great God is, and the beauty of what he has done for us.

It is amazing to see how much your life can change in a matter of months by rededicating your life to God. I have found peace and comfort these last few months. It all started with joining a now great friend of mine at church on Sunday.

Jesus has shown me everything that I now strive to be in life. He is alive and changing lives every day.
