The Fourth of July is almost here, which means backyard parties and barbecues. There is always delicious food at these get-togethers, and you always want to bring something that everybody will love. If you are looking for some tasty desserts to bring to one of these parties, look no farther! Here are fifteen red, white, and blue dessert recipes that are sure to be the hit of your Fourth of July celebration:

1. Red White and Blue Rice Krispy Treats

I tried out this recipe for red, white, and blue rice krispy treats and the turned out spectacular! They were extremely easy to make and only required a few simple ingredients to make. They are just like the rice krispy treats that you loved as a kid, but perfect for your Fourth of July celebrations; all you need to do is melt the ingredients and mix them and leave them to harden. They are a delicious treat that will be a hit at your Fourth of July Party!

Ingredients: Six cups of rice krispies cereal, one package of mini marshmallows, three tablespoons of margarine or butter, red and blue food coloring.

Directions:

Gather your supplies and divide the rice krispies and marshmallows in three for the three layers (2 cups rice krispies and about 2 cups marshmallows).

Stick the marshmallows in a microwave safe bowl along with the margarine (1 TB) for a few minutes or until they start to get big and almost touch the top of the microwave. Take them out, stir well and add the food coloring until desired color. Then add the 2 cups of Rice Krispies and stir well. Press into well greased 9×9 pan.

Do this for all 3 layers starting with the blue, then white (which is just regular and requires no food coloring) and then red. Pat down all layers really well using wax paper. Let set for a bit, then cut, serve and enjoy!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
