Fans of “Red Dead Redemption” were most likely very pleased with the newest trailer that was released May 3rd. The trailer showed off a lot of cool aspects. In one shot, we even got to see John Marston himself! It’s looking to be a very exciting game!
The trailer opens up with what appears to be a train robbery and a man, who if I had to guess was Dutch, the antagonist from the previous game, talking about how they don’t want to kill anyone, but if they have to, they will. This was such a great way to open up a trailer because from that first moment, I was hooked.
The rest of trailer shows off its story and graphics and let me say, the graphics are drop-dead amazing. Which at this point, this is expected of Rockstar games. After “Red Dead Redemption” changed the game with graphics that were ahead of their time, they came out with “Grand Theft Auto V” which pushed consoles to the brink. I know my Xbox 360 would sound like it was going to explode due to the graphics and the sheer size of the map. So I have pretty high expectations for this game, if my PS4 doesn’t sound like it’s going to take off, then I don’t want it. I’m joking, it’s Red Dead, of course, I want it!
We also get to see more of this new female character, which I’m very intrigued to find out who she is. She looks a little like Bonnie McFarlane from the previous game but that would make zero sense, so I’m going with that it very well could be Johns future wife. From what we know about her from “Red Dead Redemption," we know she used to run with the crew back in their prime, it’s possible that this is her. If not, I’m sure we will see her at some point in the game.
One thing that I’m trying to figure out, is who is the main character? Is it John? Is it some new guy? I’m very excited to find out who we play as, this game is going to be phenomenal and I am definitely going to be putting in a lot of hours on this one. “Red Dead Redemption II” releases October 27, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No word yet on a PC release, but we can expect that at some point down the road.
