Recruitment As Told By Friends
Evil Beet Gossip

School is back in session and girls are screaming everywhere as they run home to their sororities. A little-known fact of recruitment is that is the most stressful time for any PNM/ Recruitment Staff Member/ and Active Chapter members.

This stressful time is filled with so many emotions, but by the time is over, you are happy that you went through it all.

So, here are the stages of recruitment as told by Friends.

PNM: When you are waiting for the recruitment link to come out.

Active Sister: When you just get back to campus from summer vacation and you get bombarded with recruitment information.

PNM: When you finally see all the sorority women on campus and you get overwhelmed.

Recruitment Counselor: When a PNM hints that she knows your affiliation.

Active Sister: Right before the first group of PNMs are walking in for the first round and you aren't ready.

PNM: When you didn't get invited back to your number one choice.

Recruitment Counselor: When you have to counsel the PNM who didn't get invited back to her number one choice.

PNM: When you get your bid and you get to run home.

Recruitment Counselor: When you finally get to go back home to your sisters.

Active Sisters: When you get old and new sisters and you realize that recruitment is over.

All: When you get to spend time with your sisters and be one big happy family... until next year.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
