Recreating Fall In Florida For Northerners

Going from cold weather to warm weather down South during Fall is actual torture.

Everyone knows fall is the best time of the year. Leaves changing, apple and pumpkin picking, warm lattes, the cute sweaters and riding boots, and the holidays. Back home, once school started back up and the weather started to change, I knew everything was about to get a whole lot better. At this point in school, you're still getting the hang out this year and getting to know teachers. Therefore, the teachers are easy with you and the school work isn't piled up yet. Plus, the football games every other weekend were the best part of high school and either sitting on the bleachers with your friends or out playing or cheering with your teammates will be your favorite memories for years passed. But all the cute outfits that come with fall are even better! The cute scarves were my favorite trend, but all the booties or riding boots complete each outfit as well (fall will always have the cutest trends).

Also going apple and pumpkin picking are the most fun activities for fall. If your home is anything like Long Island, there are about two million options for farms to go to, but they're all as much fun as the next. In high school, running through the corn maze was still my favorite part of going. Halloween and Thanksgiving hold a special place in my heart with dressing up and all the food, but we all know these two holidays are the runners up for Christmas. Lastly, pumpkin spice EVERYTHING is the best flavor to ever come and every time you go out, we know you plan on grabbing a pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin bread.

When picking a school, it didn't occur to me that I would miss all these fall traditions. It's totally awesome being able to go to the beach year-round and lay out at the pool in-between classes, but September through November are a little difficult. In that case, we should just make our own fall in the warm weather.

We may not be able to go to pumpkin and apple picking, but let's go orange picking? I'm not sure if that's a thing, but I'm sure we can find an orange tree and to pick some off. We can still go to the football games just in shorts and tee shirt and have an awesome tailgate in the nice weather, rather than boots and a sweatshirt and shivering outside. For the cute outfits, we can still do a suede skirt or tied up long sleeve shirt. Lastly, go ahead and get hot pumpkin lattes and coffee as much as you like since I will be too -- in 80-degree weather. Promise not to judge since I'm trying to recreate fall in the warm weather too.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
