A Recommended List of 4 Inspiring Movies to Watch

If you're on the hunt for a few movie recommendations, I highly suggest you check out the following movies. Based on historical events and people, all of these movies will leave you feeling inspired, and are guaranteed to tug on your heart strings. ;)

The Theory of Everything: Based on the story of physicist Stephen Hawking and his journey with his diagnosis of ALS. Eddie Redmayne beautifully portrays Hawking's story as a true example that there are no limitations to what you can do in life.

The Imitation Game: Based during World War II, this movie follows mathematician Alan Turing and his team as they work rigorously to crack the German enigma code for the British government. This movie is historically captivating and is beautifully portrayed by an incredible cast; including, Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley.

The Danish Girl: Inspired by the true events, The Danish Girl tells the story of Danish painters, Greda and Einar Wegener, and their turbulent lives after Einar discovers his affinity for feminine attire. Ultimately, Einar with Greda's support, becomes the first man to undergo a sex-change operation in 1931. Another incredible performance by Eddie Redmayne in this heart-wrenching film.

The King's Speech: Featuring Colin Firth as King George VI, this movie follows the king as he tirelessly works with a therapist to overcome his speech impediment for the live radio broadcast to the English people during World War II. The King's Speech is truly an inspiring film.

It is important to note that the real-life people portrayed in these films have faced seemingly impossible struggles that set them apart from society, but through perseverance and support they were able to find strength within themselves and continue to be an inspiration to others today.

And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
