Two professors from University of North Florida have been engineering toys for children that have severe disabilities for the last 3 years through the "Adaptive Toy Project." What happens is that physical therapy students as well as engineers come together within a lab to create a toy manufactured specifically for a child with specific needs. For example one of the toys created was for a child that had no control over his legs so they created a motorized car that the kid could drive in order to get around places.

The whole idea is the keep soldiers in a good headspace and attempt to rid them of addictive feelings or trauma. The ranch is as helpful to the veterans as it is to their families. Many families are broken apart when a soldier that endured a lot of trauma returns home, but this ranch is here to rebuild families and become a safe place for veterans to venture and put their minds at ease.
