Celeb Mafia

The "Gilmore Girls" revival is real and is coming faster than we thought. I drink coffee like a Gilmore, but even I can't stay up all night re-watching 153 episodes before the big day. Catch up on the best show ever with this season by season synopsis.

Season 1

In the first episode of season 1, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore are introduced in their hometown, Stars Hollow. Quite arguably the best mother and daughter duo in television history, they are the epitome of wit and charm and somehow manage to stay a size 0 even though they are constantly eating cheeseburgers at Luke's Diner. Rory is accepted to the prestigious Chilton (a super expensive private school). Lorelai goes to her parents, Emily and Richard, for financial help. In exchange for tuition money, Friday dinners at Rory's grandparents' house become a requirement. Rory and Dean (the new town hottie) start a romance. Meanwhile, Lorelai and Max Medina (one of Rory's teachers) start their own romance. Max proposes to Lorelai by sending 1,000 daisies to the Independence Inn (the inn Lorelai manages). Luke (aka owner of the diner) has a brief encounter with his ex, Rachel. After seeing Luke interact with Lorelai, she sees he loves her and encourages him to tell her his true feelings before she leaves town. Luke goes to Lorelai's house and realizes she has accepted the engagement. The season ends with Lorelai and Rory hugging each other about the good news.

Season 2

Lorelai excitedly plans her wedding to English teacher, Max Medina. Rory seems to have found the perfect boyfriend with Dean. He is good and reliable, but Rory has a wandering eye. She can't help but be attracted to bad boy Jess (aka Luke's nephew from Luke's diner). Lorelai backs out of the wedding and the mother daughter duo take a road trip to Harvard, where Rory realizes her dream. The town's annual Bid-a-Basket festival takes place and Jess buys Rory's basket infuriating Dean. Lorelai graduates business school and officiates her plan to open her own inn with her best friend Sookie. Sookie, who is also the chef at the inn gets married to Jackson (the vegetable and fruit supplier). At the wedding, Rory kisses Jess. Christopher, Rory's father, surprises Lorelai and they share a romantic night.

Season 3

Christopher returns to his girlfriend Sherry, after finding out she is pregnant. Rory and Lorelai get roped in to going to Sherry's baby shower and take the deviled eggs from it to egg Jess' car. Rory and Lorelai compete in Stars Hollow Dance marathon and Rory and Dean finally break up after Rory obsesses over Jess for the whole marathon. Richard and Emily take Lorelai and Rory to a visit to Yale. Jess and Rory start dating, and he makes a bad impression at the Gilmore's Friday night dinner when he shows up with a black eye. Rory is accepted to all the schools she applied to and chooses to go to Yale. Her frenemy, Paris Geller, and her biggest competition at Chilton is heartbroken when she is rejected from Harvard. Dean and his new girlfriend, Lindsey, get engaged. Sherry gives birth to her baby. Rory graduates valedictorian from Chilton and Lorelai and Sookie buy the Dragonfly Inn. The Gilmore Girls prepare for their backpacking adventure through Europe as the season ends.

Lane gets kicked out of the house by her mom, Mrs. Kim, after sneaking out for a gig. Richard's overbearing mother, Trix, dies. Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.
