11 Reasons Why You Want Adele To Be Your Best Friend

Although Adele is the world’s most coveted and renowned artist today, her timeless voice and painstakingly relatable lyrics are not what make her so popular. Rather, it is her personality off the stage that has everybody falling head over heels. Her constant, unashamed use of vulgar language, her blatant and often hilarious honesty, as well as her comfort in her own skin make Adele one of the coolest, most relatable celebrities of our time. Despite breaking countless records and single-handedly dominating the music industry, Adele still somehow manages to come across as a wholesome person untainted by her boundless success. Her separation from the all-too-familiar superstar image that constantly revolves around sexualizing and objectifying women is refreshing. It is Adele’s hilariously infectious persona both on and off the stage that makes everyone want to be friends with her. Here are just a few reasons why we all wish Adele was our best friend.

1. You guys would have the best car rides together as you sing (and rap) your hearts out to each other

Watch Adele as she slays Nicki Minaj's part in "Monster" here.

2. Adele would be the best person to go to the gym with because she would cry along with you as you both complain about how much you hate working out

3. Even when times are tough and things don't always go as planned, Adele never fails to find a way to see the bright side of every situation

4. She shares your unhealthy obsession for Beyonce #Flawless

"I’m such a fan, oh my God....Obviously, Queen Bey to the day I die.” Obviously.

5. Since Adele is also friends with J-Law and Emma Stone, the four of you would be epic #SquadGoals

Can I please get in on this group??

6. Adele isn't afraid to put herself out there and poke fun at herself

Watch Adele fool everyone as she impersonates herself here.

7. In fact, Adele has proven to be the ultimate prankster in that she will actually eat wheatgrass at a Jamba Juice store just for a good laugh

Watch this hilarious prank here.

8. Adele would be down to talk about literally anything with you -- even if it is something as random as Nicki Minaj's "arse"

9. She would be the best person to turn to for advice because she is Adele, after all

10. Adele not only knows her own self-worth, but she also wouldn't let you or anybody else settle for less

11. And of course, it doesn't hurt that Adele is a ridiculously talented singer-songwriter who takes your breath away with flawless performances like this:

There is no one like you, Adele.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
