11. Camp Randall
It may not be the prettiest or newest stadium out there but Camp Randall is the fourth oldest stadium in college football, going on 99 years and counting. So, there has to be some appreciation for the history that this wonderful football cathedral has to offer.
10. The Fans
Basically everyone is Wisconsin is a fan of the badgers, so it only makes sense that the 80 or so thousand that show up any given Saturday are going to be fun, passionate and prideful fans of our beloved badgers.
9. The cheers
They may not be appropriate for all ages but they are fun and hard to forget. There should be a handbook for incoming freshman so that they don’t look like fools showing up to their first game. There are so many and some have quite extensive dance moves to go along with it.
8. Bucky
We all know Bucky Badger is the greatest mascot, so he is half the reason we show up to games anyway. We all enjoy watching him do pushups for points and help lead our cheers. Plus, his little sweater is just adorable.
7. The Team
Yes, many do come to actually watch football. The team is good and only getting better, we are all excited to see what Coach Chryst has for many years to come. The badgers have made a bowl game 14 years in a row now, so its been pretty easy to cheer on such a successful team.
6. The Numerous Waves
You have the classic wave, the slow wave, the fast wave, the reverse wave and the frantic wave of the students to make sure the wave gets all the way around the stadium.
5. The Pre-Games
You can’t have a pre-game without a game to follow. Another reason why our football games are so great is because we have already had half the fun before the game has even started thus why we are always a bit tardy.
4. The Post-Games
Win or lose, us badgers will never turn down a chase to party. Whether we are celebrating a win or mending a broken heart, we always know how to have a good time.
3. Build Me Up Buttercup
This is a great song but it sounds even better when the music stops playing and everyone can hear the melodious sound of the entire student section carrying on the tune however off key it may be.
2. The Student Section
We are obviously the best section of the stadium; we may be rowdy at times but no one can top our enthusiasm to be cheering on the school we are so blessed to attend.
1. Jump Around
Obviously, Jump Around is one of the greatest parts of a Badger football games because it has already been ranked the best college tradition numerous times. Football announcers bring tennis shoes just for that glorious minute or so between the third and fourth quarter. Did I mention that Jump Around creates a measureable earthquake every Saturday?
I mean, can you really top that?
