Learning a new language can be beneficial in many ways.

There are many different reasons as to why you should learn a new or another language and there are ten of them that I would like to discuss about which include increasing brain activity, improving job performance, more opportunities, friendships forming, travel experiences being easier to experience with, increasing business sales and expansion, having more global awareness skills, broader communication, improving active or academic skills, and more cultural knowledge and appreciation.


1.Brain Activity Increases

- When learning another language the brain is able to form more memorization skills which helps strengthen the brain overall.

- Less dementia is likely to form as age increases due to more active skills being used by the brain.

- The factor of Alzheimer's is less likely to occur too.


2. Job Performance Improves

- Employment potential is likely to form due to having a more wide range of skills that involve other languages.

- From learning a new language, you are able to be become a lot more marketable compared to others.

- An increase in salary within many jobs are likely due to the difference in language fluency and knowledge.


3. More Opportunities Are Likely To Happen

- As fluency is achieved within another language, more occurrences are able to be made such as new job offers, cultural knowledge can be more understood, and sensitivity is achievable.

- New relationships can form when travelling due to communication barriers decreasing.

- Travel can be more simple and easy when knowing the language of the country you are visiting.


4. Friendships Can Form

- Many friendships can be done with learning a new language because more communication is forming.

- A stronger bond with people can be made and help create new friends with knowing his or her native language.

- Connections are able to be made due to less confusion or other barriers that could have taken place.


5. Travel Experiences Can Be More Easier And Enjoyable

- When travelling to another country other than your own home one, knowing that language of that particular country can help make you feel at ease with your trip.

- Ordering food in another language can make less stress occur.

- Shopping and going to events or places in a new country can be simple because less language barriers can occur.


6. Businesses Can Expand And Have More Sales

- Having a knowledge of a new language can help increase your business when working with international clients.

- Markets and companies can negotiate more easily causing more sales to increase as a whole.

- Communicating within business can help your company expand by knowing another language.


7. More Global Awareness Skills Can Form

- Understanding of other countries can be made from learning a new language.

- Diversity is more likely to be accepted when a new language is learned.

- A new language can help form a sense of respect for all countries or places.


8. Communication Can Become More Broad

- When speaking with family members or friends you can communicate more if they speak a language that you have been learning.

- Visitors can communicate more with their language when you have learned theirs.

- When traveling you can communicate easily with staff or individuals from learning the language that is spoken there.


9. Active Or Academic Skills Can Improve

- Listening or writing skills can be achieved when listening to words of a foreign language and from practicing writing within a new language.

- Concentration is more likely to form due to attention at differences within a new language.

- Vocabulary skills can increase within acquisition and comprehension of another language.


10. Cultural Knowledge And Appreciation Can Be Created

- An understanding of other cultures can form within learning a new language.

- Networking can be acted upon within other types of culture

- Acceptance and empathy are more likely to be made from learning another language which can help create cultural knowledge and have appreciation for other places or even beliefs.
