If you are unsure about joining the yoga family. Not sure how it benefits you. Wonder if it's better then regular exercises. Well, here are a few reasons why you should be apart of the yoga family.
1. Yoga helps with stress relief
Whether you have a big test coming up with school or you just have a lot on your mind. Yoga will help you through the tough times. It helps me and I love it.
2. Yoga will help you sleep better
The less stress we are the better we all sleep, and the better we all sleep we become less stressed. Simple yoga stretches fourteen minutes before you go to bed will make you less stressed, eased at mind, and... I'll be honest it makes me sleepy by the time I go to bed.
3. Yoga can help with menstrual pain
Ladies, this one is for you. Practicing yoga in the mornings helps me with my menstrual pains. Yoga even motivates me to get out of bed when I don't want to.
4. Yoga reminds you to breathe
Breathing and emotions are connected. Yoga brings awareness to you and teaches you how to control your breathing patterns. By doing this it is allowing us to notice when our emotions are affecting our breathing. Sometimes we have to take a deep breath every now and then to collect our thoughts before continuing that English essay that is due, in like two days from now. A deep breath will also help separate you from saying something you will regret. The more you concentrate and connect with your breath, the clearer and understanding you will think, even in those difficult dilemmas.
5. Yoga will improve your posture
While focusing on you when you're sitting on your matt in front of your mirror listening to your instructor. You are listening and sitting up straighter, legs crossed, shoulders back a-lined with your hips, chin up just a little bit, and your arms relaxed on your legs. By doing this you are increasing your posture, reducing anxiety, reducing back pains, and learning to breath better.
"Close your eyes and imagine the best version of you possible. That's who you really are. Let go of any part that doesn't believe it."
