If you are anything like me, or just a girl, you know that Target is life. I can be having the worst day, but the second I walk up to the pearly red doors of Target, something changes. I become instantly happy. Now, if you don’t have any idea what I’m talking about, then you clearly have not been to a Target recently, or you are just not human. I’m also pretty convinced that they put something addictive in the air, but that’s just a theory. Anyways, if you need convincing why Target is the happiest place on Earth, keep reading!

The Dollar Spot

I’m sure most of you ladies (and my fiance) know exactly what I’m talking about. This is probably the best part of Target. At the entrance of most Targets, there are a few rows, or a dedicated section, that is known as The Dollar Spot. Everything in this section is $1-$3. You can find anything from desk essentials and children’s toys to holiday decor. This section has a little bit of everything! I am almost positive that I have never left Target without something from this section. Do yourselves a favor and go check this section out the next time you’re there!

Starbucks

I’m cautious with this one when I say that most Targets have a Starbucks inside. If this isn’t reason enough to visit a Target, then I don’t know what is. When I lived in North Carolina, I used to do my grocery shopping at Target (reason #4758 Target wins) and I would get there right at 8 in the morning, grab myself a coffee, and do my shopping. Walking around Target with a Starbucks in your hand is a wonderful feeling -- try it!

There Is Something for Everyone

This is why everyone needs to visit a Target. Whether you are going for groceries, bathroom essentials, or workout clothes, it has it all. From home decor to men’s apparel and outdoor furniture, I can guarantee that everyone can find something they love there!

The Cartwheel App

Please tell me you know what this is! If you don’t, then you can thank me later (or now!). The Cartwheel App is an app on your phone that provides discounts at Target. You just create a login and start browsing! They have different deals all the time on pretty much everything! I’ve gotten 25% off clothing, groceries, electronics and really anything in the store. After I create my Target list before going, I’ll search the Cartwheel app and see if there's anything on sale that is on my list. It’s almost like a game, seeing how much I can save each time I go. The app also allows you to unlock “Trophies” for different items you have saved on -- it’s super fun! Once you select which items you want to save on, you have the cashier scan the barcode on the app and BAM. Easy as pie. Everyone needs this app on their phone!

So if those aren’t reasons enough to get your butt to Target today, then I guess keep shopping at Walmart (everyone, calm down, I’m not knocking Walmart). But what can be better than walking in a bright Target, coffee in hand, browsing The Dollar Spot, and saving money?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
