Six Flags Great America is a theme park that is located in Gurnee, Illinois and is really considered to be a fun place for friends to get together this summer. There are many fun roller coasters and rides for the family to enjoy, for the thrill seekers and for the calm riders. I have been to the theme park ever since I was about 12 years old and there have been a number of coasters that have come and go. There have been my favorites and the ones where I wish that a better ride could be put there. Some things about Six Flags have kept me coming back for more each year and here are some of the things that make it a hotspot for a fun summer adventure.

The Rides

The most obvious reason are the roller coasters and they are very enjoyable to go on. To list a few of my favorite roller coasters, there's Raging Bull, Superman, Batman, Goliath, X-Flight and a few others. Besides the major roller coasters, there are the other rides that aren't considered major but they are fun. There's the new interactive Battle for Metropolis ride that just opened and there are water rides I can go on for whenever I need to cool off. No matter how old you are and no matter what kinds of rides you enjoy, there's always something for everyone to enjoy.

The Food

The food options that they have vary throughout the various sections of the park so there won't be anyone who won't be satisfied in terms of their hunger. From pizza and burgers to barbecue and Chinese food, there is a type of food that will satisfy everyone's hunger. There are also a ton of options available for those who just want to have a sweet treat or a snack at some point of the day. For me, I love to get the funnel cake sundaes that they sell; it's pretty much a funnel cake with ice cream and chocolate syrup on top. I always love to order that and share it with my friends and we are always satisfied with the way that it turns out when we actually eat it

The Entertainment

There are other things for people to enjoy at the park beside the rides; there are also live shows and game booths for the park goers to enjoy. The shows are put on by some of the employees that are hired as entertainers as the shows are varied from parades to live stage shows. Besides them, there are also the game booths that are scattered throughout the park for those who want to try to win a stuffed animal for the day. I don't usually like to play the games, but I see a lot of people win some cool prizes from the games that they choose to play.

The Water Park

Besides having Six Flags being known for its roller coasters in its main theme park, there's also Hurricane Harbor, the water park that opened in 2005. Hurricane Harbor includes a wave pool, a lazy river and many different water slides for guests to enjoy. This is especially good for when it comes to becoming very hot on those summer days. It's a great way for people to cool off and to have fun all at the same time; I have been there a few times myself and it's a fun place to take a splash.

As you can see, Six Flags Great America is a fun theme park where there are many ways for park goers to have a fun time when they choose to spend a day there. It has been one of my favorite theme parks ever since I was about 13 years and it has introduced me to a world of amazing roller coasters. It was where I rode my first upside down roller coaster and I never regret taking that chance. I would have never knew that there have been so many awesome coasters to ride throughout the park and I love going back there each year with my friends and family members.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
