Coming together... PERMANENTLY?!

Reasons Why Sibling Tattoos Are The Best Tattoos

Tattoos are all the rage in today's society. Whether someone hates them, or someone is covered in them. It's always a topic of discussion. In some states all you need is to be 16 with a parental consent, and in others you need to legally be an adult. In Illinois, you have to be 18 to have someone take a needle and permanently draw on you. Unless you go in someone's basement and buy a tattoo for 20 dollars. Which isn't always the best idea. Tattoos are a work of art. They take real talent to be able to draw on someone when you know you can't erase if you mess up, even a little. When it comes to getting a tattoo whether its your first, or your 10th, it is truly a hard decision. Unless you really don't care and just want some ink.

That isn't me though. When I went to get my first tattoo I had already planned for it six months in advance. My first was a memorial for my great grandmother. My second was a sibling tattoo with my big brother. Which is still yet to be completed. it took us years to finally figure out what we wanted. Even after discussing it for all that time, we had no idea what we wanted until we walked through the shop doors. That's right. Even after asking each other over and over "what do you want," we didn't make a decision til we were sitting in the shop.

I got the key and he got the sword. I said we still have to finish them and we do. Mine with eventually say " My Brothers Keeper" and his "My Sisters protector." Hence the key and sword. Now, to back up the title of this article, "Reasons why Sibling tattoos are the best tattoos." Sibling tattoos are usually something that come from the heart. And most people don't regret them. I know every single time I look at my forearm I think about my brother and smile, because I know no matter how far we live apart, I have this tattoo to remember he's always with me. Sibling tattoos are a way to feel connected with your sibling no matter what. Even during fights with them, you know it'll all turn out because sibling are the people that have understood your life better than you have. I would rather get another sibling tattoo with the one brother I have, than get 30 random ones that don't really mean anything. In my opinion, sibling tattoos are the best tattoos to get. They mean so much to both ( or all ) parties, and you know that when they look at it, they are thinking of you.

College is a crazy, beautiful, amazing whirlwind. It is highly popularized in television and movies, but not necessarily in the most accurate way. Yes, there's frats, dingy dorms, raging house parties—but there's also a lot that people fail to mention.

1. If you thought that you knew how to study, you're wrong.

All of your classes aren't taught every day, so professors aren't on your case constantly about reading and memorizing material. Once you get back that "questionable" first exam grade, you'll kick it into high gear and figure out what works for you

Girl With Bleached Hair
Tumblr

I've been a bleach blonde for over a year now, and let me tell you, it is a lifestyle. More hair appointments, longer showers, and special shampoo. But it is totally worth it!

1. Mentally preparing yourself to convince your hair dresser that white is the way to go.

2. Or the anxiety of what could go wrong by bleaching your hair at home.

3. You could either become a ginger

4. Or a pixie

5. The face you make in the mirror when you take off your towel to unveil the perfect white strands.

6. Taking a million selfies the day you bleached it, because you know your roots will be back in literally 2 days.

7. Having to get bangs or a big chop because your hair is so damaged.

8. Having orange highlights in between touch-ups.

9. Going out for a drink afterwards to debut your updated look.

Despite the struggles, you love your platinum blonde hair! You make sure Instagram knows it, too. You don't need a filter, because the color is flawless by itself!

I've been at this college thing for almost three and a half years, and while I thought that high school was truly the lowest point of my existence, I'm beginning to realize that it was a walk in the park. Like, I miss the days when the biggest white lie I told my parents was my made up excuse about being late for fourth period. These days, the white lies are a tad more complex, and as ashamed as I am to admit it, I've definitely told a few of these.
