Reasons Why We Should Envy Guys

Being a girl is great, but being a guy has its advantages.

Reasons Why We Should Envy Guys

Let's face it. It's hard being a girl. Sometimes it almost feels like guys have it easy, you know? They don't have to worry about the things we girls have to deal with. Not sure what I mean? Let's take a look. Here are a list of why we (girls) should envy guys.

1. Let's get real: They don't have to pop a baby out.

This one is huge. They don't have to worry about giving birth to another life. They don't have to worry about the side effects of pregnancy like swollen feet, a mad phase of hunger, morning sickness, weight gain, crying, excessive peeing and excessive farting. They have it easy that's all.

2. Their eyebrows don't have to be on fleek.

This talk about eyebrows is not news. It's like the only thing the media ever talks about nowadays. Guys can have the most bushiest, unshaped eyebrows and nobody would care. Nobody would pay attention to their eyebrows. But for girls, it's like we have to make sure they're on fleek all day, every day. It's almost like our faces get inspected more than guys. Nope. Not fair.

3. They don't get catcalled.

Sure, maybe some guys get catcalled, but we girls get it worse. It's like we can't even walk graciously down the streets without some gross dude checking out our butts and whistling. It's not going to make us magically gravitate towards you. It actually either terrifies us or makes us mad. Honestly, what do guys think we're going to do when they cat call us? "Oh my! That fine, young, gentleman down yonder is calling for me. I shall proceed to walk towards him." No. We will literally speed walk away from you as fast as we can.

4. They don't have to worry about acne as much.

OK. Is it just me or does it seem like guys don't suffer from acne as much as girls do? It's like they've been blessed by Jesus himself or something. Seriously. This hurts me so much that I cry just thinking about their perfectly, blessed skin.

5. They don't get an "Aunt Flo" visiting them every month.

Yup. I decided to bring this one up especially. They don't know what it's like having our life bleed out in front of us for a week straight every month. They don't know what cramps feel like. At all. Be jealous. Be very jealous.

As you see, these are just a few reasons why girls should be envious of guys. It's like they don't have to worry about anything. It just doesn't seem fair. But you know what? We shouldn't be that upset because in the end being a girl is awesome.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
