5 Reasons Why Shopping Online Can Be Difficult

I love shopping online because I don't have to leave my house but sometimes it is difficult to fine exactly what I want and that I don't get it right away.

I am no stranger to the "Amazon Black Hole Of Shopping". Having Amazon Prime is such a blessing, and a curse. Just like everyone else I love shopping in the comfort of my own home, but there are some things that it's hard to buy when you're only shopping online for it.

1. You don't know for sure if a piece of clothing will fit.

I love shopping on ModCloth! They have so many dresses, accessories, and cute outfits. One thing that I don't like is that I don't get to be in a store and try on the dresses that I'm looking at. There are reviews for how the outfits fit other people, and yes those help but it's not the same as if you were to try on the outfit yourself. I have bought a dress from this website and it fits pretty well, but it's kind of a one-in-a million type thing.

2. You never know what the thing will look like in person.

Websites like Amazon make their products look as good as possible so more people will buy them. The pictures of these products look different from computer screen to computer screen so they could look completely different when you get a hold of it. Most products look just as they do when you purchase them from a website, but sometimes the colors could be muted or it could be the wrong size.

3. The product feels like it takes FOREVER to get to you.

Having Amazon Prime is such a great thing because it's free two day shipping, but not every item has prime shipping available. Even with prime shipping, sometimes I hate waiting the two days because I want my elephant mandala tapestry right now. This is another reason why I don't like shopping online because I am a very impatient person and waiting for something that I really want is a very difficult thing for me.

4. You can't actually get everything online.

Yes, you can get a lot of stuff from the internet, but sometimes you can't get everything your heart desires. Maybe there are little shops that don't have an Etsy story, a website, or maybe they only have that one storefront. Having something that you can't buy online could really help those types of stores because they are getting people to actually come into the store and look at their merchandise.

5. Things get expensive because you have to pay for shipping and handling.

Not every website is as great as Amazon with the whole prime thing. I wish they are were but most of them say that you have to spend a certain amount of money to get free shipping. Sometimes, I don't want to pay that much just to get free shipping. I'd much rather go to a store, pay that price, and not have to pay extra for them to send it to my house.

There are more pros than cons to online shopping. I just feel like there are some things that could get a little better with having to buy things online.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
