Any "Grey's Anatomy" fan may know this to be true already, but Shonda Rhimes loves to torture us all. Death after death, and accident after accident, she keeps us all at the edge of our seats wondering what will happen to the next character. To those who have yet to watch the series or plan on doing so soon, I will save you the spoilers! However, this death was the one death that caused such misery for all "Grey's Anatomy" fans; Derek Shepard’s death. After watching the episode of his death, I had mascara running down to my chin, an obnoxious amount of tissues in the trash, and a very dramatic looking Snapchat story. Needless to say, by the end of the night, I cried myself to sleep (literally). The next morning was way different! I was angry about the way he got killed off! Here's why:
1. He's a top neurosurgeon
He's smart, talented, knows what he's doing (and he's cute). Right?
2. He saved four people prior to his accident
Yes, F-O-U-R (4)! It was a little chaotic; he can't find the guy that hits him, the car is about to blow up, and maybe the other girl's intestines were falling out. But, he saved four people.
3. His phone? Really? That was the distraction?
Every other death was over something much more dramatic. Just look at George, or Denny, even Lexi! All other deaths were dramatic. However, Derek's was just made no sense. Why would he stop in the middle of the road just to grab his phone? As a top neurosurgeon we'd all think, "maybe he knows this is all dangerous," right?
4. What happened to the ambulance, police, and firefighters that were right in front of him?
Call me crazy, but were they not right in front of him when the truck hit him? Could they not have seen him get hit? Why did it seem like it took forever for him to basically be saved!?
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter because he's dead and every death makes us want to scream....
