FRIENDS has captured the hearts of so many people around the globe. Weather you relate to Joey who loves food and women, Monica who loves to clean, Ross who's just a little bit nerdy, Phoebe who's a little quirky, Chandler who is funny and inappropriate, or Rachel who just quite doesn't get it sometimes, there is something in the show for everyone. Even year later after the series has completed it's still trending on Netflix and re-runs air of T.V. because it is still so popular. Here are some of the reasons why the show is still adored.
1. It's relatable
Whether it's a breakup, work issue, crappy waitress jobs, or money trouble, you can bet we have all been there. FRIENDS does a terrific job relating to all of us personally because they go through every situation in the book. If we haven't been through it, eventually we will and FRIENDS will be there to help us along the way.
2. It's hilarious
If you're in a bad mood, this should be your go to on Netflix! Even if the episode has a more serious tone, there is bound to be some ridiculous yet hysterical Chandler joke in there somewhere.
3. The real situations
Much like #1, this show appeals to our lives. The issues they put into the series are not made up, they're 100% real! Although this show wasn't intended for college students, in my opinion it speaks to them the most. They have crazy roommates, move to new cities, have no money, have jobs they don't like, and most of all the drama!
4. The adventure
Now most of the time, the group stays in New York. but they do have some pretty amazing adventures along the way. From Ross and Emily's Wedding disaster in London, to Rachel almost moving to Paris, Chandler fake leaving for Yemen, all the way to Chandler and Joey chasing after baby Ben right in the city. The show is FULL of excitement and adventure. You just never know what they will get into next!
5. The love
This reason is perhaps the most important! LOVE, something we all want and need. Each episode explodes with love, even if it's not the romantic kind, but the kind that each character has for the other. FRIENDS pulls on our heartstrings each time Ross and Rachel breakup and then get back together, and each time all the characters come together and show us the love they all share and compassion that comes with it.
