We can all admit that we are addicted to something. Whether it be video games, food, or your pets, it always makes you happy and you can't live without it. My addiction is YouTube. For those who don't know, YouTube is a worldwide video sharing website where people create content for others to watch and enjoy. Two of my favorite content creators are British vloggers, Dan Howell (danisnotonfire) and Phil Lester (AmazingPhil). They are hilarious, witty, and compassionate towards everything in their lives. Here are some reasons why you should watch Dan and Phil.

Their lifestyle is relatable and realistic

Everyone has their awkward moments and these two aren't any exception. While most hide any awkward/embarrassing moments, these two flaunt them for the whole internet to see. It helps further the idea that even though you're famous, you're still human and vulnerable to mistakes. Most of their videos contain content where they discuss weird, awkward or embarrassing moments in their life. Some find this refreshing from the ridiculous standards celebrities are held to in society.

Being apart of the 'Phandom'

While every series has their fandom, Dan and Phil bring a 'phandom' that encourages positivity and friendship. You will most likely meet quite a new friends upon entering the 'phandom' that will have multiple other interests that interest you besides Dan and Phil. The friendships can last a lifetime and you'll always have someone to fangirl with when your favorite celebrity posts a new selfie. Dan and Phil also care a lot about their fans and are known to go out and beyond to satisfy their fans. For example, once a meet and greet ended and they spent extra hours meeting fans until they got kicked out. Their dedication is top notch and can make any fan feel appreciated.

Their videos can always bring a smile to your face

Dan and Phil post content that is usually humorous and happy. Since I have been a fan and even before I started watching, not once have they posted a video where they have a negative vibe or seem that they aren't happy doing their videos. Their comedy brings joy and happiness to all viewers. Their videos are the kind you can replay over and over and still laugh the same amount each time. Some viewers watch their videos as a source of happiness when they can’t find any in their everyday lives.

The future is now!

The internet is becoming more relevant everyday and it’s time to get involved before you fall too far behind. Don’t worry if Dan and Phil don’t seem like your cup of tea, there are thousands of other YouTubers online also providing great content. For example: Tyler Oakley, Grace Helbig, Pewdiepie, etc. The genres are endless and there's hours of content for you to enjoy.

In conclusion, Dan and Phil are amazing people who bring happiness to millions across the Internet and I hope that they can bring some extra joy to your life! That's why you should check out their videos or follow them on social media!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
