The leaves are changing, the weather is getting colder, and every other person you know is posting pictures of their #pumpkinspicelatte, all these indicate fall is FINALLY here. After 94 days of a sweltering summer, 29% of Americans are relieved that their favorite season has arrived. So what exactly makes Autumn Americas most preferred time of the year

Oh, how we have missed you!

1. Colder Weather Brings Changing Leaves

The Greens Change to an Abundance of Colors

When talking about Fall the first thing people will comment on is the beautiful foliage that comes with the cold weather. Walks become easier because you are no longer sweating, and the sights become much more interesting. The leaves change daily and fall to the ground, creating natures own playpen!

2. Sweaters and Warm Clothes

Even Superheroes Bundle Up

Fall style; sweaters, layers, hats and mittens, scarfs and tall boots. It's the season of keeping warm and cozy while still having fun.

3. Cuddle Time

It's Cuddle Weather for Everyone

One of my favorite things about fall is that with the cold weather comes good snuggle season. It is the time of soft blankets and cuddling. Curl up with your favorite person, a good movie and a hot cup of tea and enjoy the season.

4. Seasonal Delicacies

With Autumn comes delicious warm goodies; pies, soups, and lattes. The colder weather makes us all want to find something yummy to eat. It is the season of comfort food.

5. Apple Picking

A great family activity! Not only do you get to go to an orchard and see bright red apples all around you, you also get fresh apple goodies when you get home!

6. Pumpkin Carving

Many families use pumpkin carving as a tradition. Some towns even have competitions for who has the best pumpkin carving abilities. What once was a repellent of evil spirits is now used as seasonal decoration. And who can forget baked pumpkin seeds!

7. Halloween

Trick or Treat!

We all love to have a reason to dress up and eat candy. This holiday is beloved by people of all ages. This spooky aspect to Fall is a major reason why people love it. What other holiday allows you to dress up as your favorite horror movie character, and go to door begging for candy!

8. Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!

This holiday brings everyone together, aunts, uncles, grandmother, and a couple of cousins you didn't even know you had. For some people, this may be the only time they see their loved ones throughout the year. We gather together with good food and great company to celebrate Thanksgiving.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
