There are many people out there who think summer is the best time of year while there are others who tend to disagree. Whether you are summer's biggest fan or its biggest critic, there are many reasons for you to love summer.

1. No more school.

This is the time of year where you get a break from all the stresses of the school year. It's the time to get away from the textbooks and quizzes so that you can enjoy the sunshine and outdoors.

2. Vacations.

Summer is the time of year when everyone goes on vacation. It does not matter if you are going to an amusement park, tropical paradise or outdoor adventure because summer is the time to do it!

3. Darker skin, lighter hair.

It is time to get your skin a little darker for when the winter months roll back around. Many people will argue and say that this is not a perk, but it definitely is. As long as you protect your skin correctly with sunscreen and other products, you will be able to withstand the summer months and get that golden skin you've been missing.

4. Amusement parks.

All the amusement parks have been closed during the winter months, so it's time to get back to them. Whether you wait two hours to ride your favorite roller coaster or are chilling in the water park, amusement parks are always a go-to summer activity that everyone in your family will enjoy.

5. Camping.

Who doesn't love the great outdoors? Summer is a perfect time to pitch a tent and get closer with nature. It doesn't matter if you are camping on a beach or in the forest. You will definitely have a great time and find your love with Mother Nature.

6. Late night activities.

Whether it is going to a bonfire or hitting up the fair in town, there are tons of places to go in the summer months. It is the perfect time to stay out late and enjoy the company of friends and family, even if it is just sitting outside and looking at the stars.

7. Every day can be a beach day.

Unless you are traveling to a tropical paradise during the winter, you don't get to go to the beach very often in the summer. The beach is a perfect way to take advantage of the summer heat, with fun activities in the sand followed by a cool swim in the water.

8. It's always acceptable to eat ice cream.

When everyday is a hot one, you need something to cool you off. That's why it is always good to eat ice cream! There are so many flavors to choose from, you could have a different one everyday if you wanted to.

9. Tons of BBQ'ing opportunities.

If you happen to miss one BBQ, there are probably more opportunities coming throughout the summer. With holidays like Memorial Day, the Fourth of July and Labor Day, there will be many days where you can grill some burgers and enjoy a fun day with family and friends.

10. Lake days.

Not only can you have a good day at the beach, but you can also enjoy it on the lake. With tons of fun activities like water skiing, water tubing, and swimming, why wouldn't you want to go to the lake?

11. Unforgettable memories.

Summer is the time to enjoy the weather and make memories with the people you care about most. These are the days you will be able to look back to and reminisce about all the fun-filled days. It may just seem like a great day at the moment, but it will turn into the memories that last a lifetime.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.
