During my childhood, a majority of kids always mention and remember Big Bird or Elmo from "Sesame Street," but I remember this adorable green frog named Kermit the Frog from "The Muppets." Here are five reasons why you should adore this awesome frog.

1. He is a muppet

Yes, Kermit the Frog is a muppet. You will be amazed by the fact that he has no strings attached and he can freely move around. For those who are fans of "The Muppets" and Jim Henson, Kermit the Frog is one of the most iconic characters ever made by Jim Henson. Therefore, Kermit the Frog also has successfully become the first frog muppet to be famous in Hollywood. For a note to the Disney fans, he also has joined Disney!

2. He is a great role model

Even though Kermit is a frog, he also shares what we face in life. There are times that things do become stressful and some days are just fine. He still works hard no matter what. This is evident if you look up Kermit the Frog on the internet, you can see that he works very hard and very happily in his own office. You do not see a frog in an office working like that every day. I wish that in the future that I can find a job that I can work hard in and enjoy like Kermit the Frog does. Moreover, Kermit the Frog always think of his friends first and help them whatever he can. He never gives up. In addition, he has some amazing quotes and jokes to share with us that could lighten our moods. He can also sing his own original songs such as "Rainbow Connection" and "It's Not Easy Being Queen" and of course, he can sing other songs that you like and know. Other than that, he's also a great actor, performer and a leader to his friends.

3. His love for pigs is quite particular

Not only is Kermit well-known for being the first Hollywood frog, but he's also well-known for his love for pigs, especially towards his other well-known love interest and Muppet, named Miss Piggy. Not every frog can like a pig. A cute hard-working frog like Kermit and a strong heroine pig like Miss. Piggy, together make an interesting interspecies couple for us to watch and cheer them on. So Kermit the Frog's love for Miss. Piggy is what makes him even more of an adorable character to like.

4. He has great .gifs and memes

Kermit the Frog also entertains us through the internet with his memes and gifs. Whenever I feel down or feel tired from working in front of my computer, I would look up Kermit the Frog memes and gifs to make me laugh. The aspect that makes the memes and gifs wonderful to look at and to create is Kermit the Frog's facial expressions, like when he smiles, frowns, or stares. They are priceless and so relatable. Some famous pictures of Kermit the Frog used in memes are Kermit, meets face to face Constantine (a Kermit-look alike frog in a black hood from the 2014 film, "The Muppets Most Wanted"), Kermit driving in his car, and Kermit drinking a cup of tea. Some of the known gifs that never get old are Kermit typing very fast on his typewriter, Kermit happily screaming as he moves his hands and head, and Kermit turning his face with a slight frustration.

5. He is a gentle frog

Kermit the Frog possesses a kind and polite nature. He treats children, adults, and others very nicely and considers them a lot. In addition, he appears as guest stars in host shows. From then on, you can see that he is quite a great company to have around and never leaves you bored. At the same time, he keeps a professional profile and still finds ways to make you feel entertained. Usually, when one sees Kermit about to bid farewell or depart, he is always given a kiss by everyone which he totally deserves, because he is such a nice frog.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
