10 Reasons To Adopt A Dog
Life With Dogs

Dogs are "human's best friend" for a very good reason; they are the perfect companion. Dogs are loyal, love unconditionally, find joy in the most tedious tasks and have a keen sense for human emotion. If you don't have a dog, it's time you went to the local animal shelter and adopted your new best friend! And if you need any more convincing, here are ten reasons to do it NOW.

1. It's a real life "awww."

While everyone can agree that a cute puppy gif makes any day brighter, imagine how bright your days could be with A REAL LIFE PUPPY living life with you every day. It would be non-stop "aww" and love. Does it get any better than that? No. It doesn't.

2. Chores lose the bore.

Without a dog watering the lawn is just you standing there with a hose, watering the lawn. With a dog watering the lawn is you playing a wild game of water tag with your furry companion. The same goes for any boring chore, add a dog and it is suddenly an exciting game for two!

3. You'll have a constant shoulder to cry on.

Human friends are awesome, don't get me wrong. But having a dog means having a companion there 24/7 whole-heartedly devoted to you. It can be incredibly therapudic to talk to your dog about life's problems and your dog will always be there to listen and give you a kiss for cheer.

4. Cuddles.

Need I say more? Furry, cozy, loving cuddles.

5. Dogs lead to healthy living.

According to the National Center for Health Research, a Chinese study spanning six years concluded that people with dogs had less doctor visits, took fewer days off of work, and excercised more than those without a dog. http://center4research.org/healthy-living-preventi...

6. Do You like to laugh?

It's that simple. Owning a dog will naturally lead to countless laughs. Whether you're laughing at their naiveté or their antics, it's 100% proven that owning a dog will lead to laughter which increases your life span, so see #5 again!**

**100% proven by me.

7. It will prepare you for life in the most fun way possible.

We all know growing up is hard, "adulting" is the last thing any of us really want to do and yet it must be done. Owning a dog is a great way to gain some responsibility and get a jump start on being a "real adult person" minus all the pain and hardship of normal adulting! It's like being a grown up, but FUN!

8. It will make you more attractive.**

Another %100 proven fact, owning a dog makes you more attractive to literally everyone.

**Still only proven by me, not science.

9. Instant BFF.

Your dog is going to love you more than life itself. Getting a dog is like getting an immediate best friend. They'll follow you everywhere, be incredibly excited when you come home, and always have tail wags and kisses for you even if you just happen to glance their way. What more could you want in life?

10. You're saving a life.

According to the ASPCA, in the US alone approximately 1.4 million dogs are euthanized each year. By adopting a dog from your local shelter you help save a life. Of the 3.9 million dogs that enter shelters each year only 35% are adopted. Help increase that number and go to your local shelter today. You won't regret it.

If you're interested in adopting a dog, the Lawton Humane Society has far too many looking for forever homes. Check them out!

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.
