There are days when you feel like life is trying to bring you down. No matter what you do some things just don't ever seem to look up. In times like these we just feel like giving up. We should be fighting back. There is only one way to do this action. We have to smile and always think positive!

Why let a bad day keep you down!

Think of all the bad things that happened to you, and make it into a positive thought. Say you woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Think of waking up as victory. You made it another day. What could possibly be so bad about that? Once you have started your day off with a positive attitude it is hard to break that positive spirit!

Smiling is Contagious

Smiling is actually a great tool to use in life. In today's society we often result to frowning. No one actually means to do this, sometimes it is just how the person looks, however we all can do one thing to change this, simply smile. If you go out of your way to smile at someone who looks like they could need some cheering up, it might just do the trick. Do one thing everyday that will make someone smile. We often get caught up in the moment and don't understand how smiling can not only lift your mood, but possibly someone else's mood as well.

Boost someone's self confidence

No one knows what someone else could be going through. Everyone is different and have their own things to worry about, but there is always a time to make someone's day. A simple text message could do the trick. It takes 30 seconds to send a friend a good morning message to tell them to have a good day. You may not think this works, but it is more effective than you think. If you go out of your own way to tell someone they are loved, and you are thinking of them, it may light up their world. Being selfless is a wonderful quality you should strive for. We never know what someone else is going through which is why boosting someone's spirit in any possible is a tremendous thing.

There are a million reasons to smile

We forget about all the great things life offers us each day. The opportunity to take chances, and never give up on our dreams. This alone gives us a millions reasons why we should live each day to the fullest. We don't often get second chances. We have to take what we have now and just go for it. Never forget the reason you are smiling. We often forget why we smile. Don't ever lose the sense of your own happiness. We get one life to live, so why just sit around not reaching your goals? Find your reason to smile and spread it.

Smiling and having a positive outlook on life are two important attributes. Life does get hard, we all know that but what is most important is looking beyond the imperfections!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
