Thanksgiving is a good time for everyone.

You get to see your family again, eat good food, and watch football. Thanksgiving can be a headache, but it has it's perks, especially for college students. So here are 13 reasons why Thanksgiving is the best holiday for college students.

1. It's a break from school.

This is probably the first time you've had off since Labor Day, so it's nice to relax and enjoy the break while you have it.

2. You get time to mentally prepare yourself for finals.

They're probably coming up in a week or two. Get prepared.

3. You get to eat as much food as you want and not feel bad about it.

It's Thanksgiving; everyone pigs out.

4. The meals are home-cooked.

Let's face it: campus food is gross and what you make in your apartment isn't nearly as good as what mom makes. Enjoy the feast while you can. There will be plenty of turkey for you to take back to school.

5. You get to sleep in your bed again.

Honestly, there's no better feeling.

6. You get to see your dog/pet.

I lied. This is the best feeling. Being able to see your dog and having it lick your face cause it missed you makes your heart melt.

7. Your friends are also on break, so you can see them, too.

Always nice being able to catch up with your friends from home. Plus, you have someone to go Black Friday Shopping with.

8. You have someone taking care of you again.

Thanks mom and dad, for cleaning up after me, feeding me, and letting me be your little baby again even though I can clearly take care of myself.

9. You get to see your family.

It has probably been a few months since you've been able to see everyone. Take the time to spend time with them even though they may ask you all the same questions.

10. You don't have to pay for your laundry.

If you're lucky, your parents will even do it for you. Having to pay $3.50 a load for laundry is annoying, especially when I have a washer and dryer in my apartment.

11. You can work over break.

Although it is a break, being able to make some extra cash didn't hurt anybody.

12. No group projects.

This is the time of year when every professor starts to assign them. Group projects are the worst, so it's nice to get a break from them.

13. No alarms.

Sleep in. Cuddle with your dog. You deserve it.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
