So we all have that one person. You know, that one person where you literally don't mind sharing anything with, like how many times you've gone to the bathroom or whatever random thing you don't typically find it necessary to share with other people. As a matter of fact, this person probably knows a bit too much about you that it's actually quite terrifying. Well...this person is your best friend and lets count the reasons why you should be thankful for him/her.
1. They deal with your weirdness.
We can pretend that we're cool and all in front of others, but truth be told, we're pretty weird and quirky. Luckily, we let our guard down around our best friend and I mean, be thankful 'cause they have to constantly deal with your true weird self...constantly.
2. They deal with your emotional side.
Everyone gets upset, but your best friend will be the one there listening to you when you're crying over the stupidest reasons (such as the supermarket ran out of your favourite flavor of ice-cream) or when you're just desperately in need of a hug.
3. They call you out on your bullsh*t.
Yeah...there's no use on trying to fake it with your best friend because they'll always know the truth, and when you say otherwise, they won't stand for it.
4. They've seen all sides of you.
They're perfectly fine with those that are not as good. Nobody's perfect. We have the good and the ugly in each of us and your best friend has probably seen all of them. And I'm pretty sure...since they're still around you, they don't mind it.
5.They pressure you into good/bad decisions.
But you always have fun regardless. You always need someone to be there with you went you step out of your comfort zones and try out new things. Plus, it's always comforting to know that your best friend is behind you on whatever weird, impulsive, bizarre decision you make.
6. The bring out a side of you that you never knew you had.
Typically, it's a pretty good one. As we grow up, we are constantly learning new things about everything around us and ourselves. Your best friend has probably been a part of this development and shown a new side of you that you never knew of before.
7. They listen to you.
Sometimes, we all just want to express ourselves through talking/ranting. Most of the time it's ranting. Who's gonna listen to your ranting? Your best friend.
8. They have your back regardless.
Life isn't predictable and it unexpected and unfortunate turn of events can happen. Therefore, it's always comforting to know that you can trust your best friend in being there for you. Even if it means for them just telling you to suck it up.
9. They always know how to make you laugh at the end of the day.
I have never had as much joy in my life than being able to have a good laugh with my best friend. The number of inside jokes you can share to even just purely laughing over the stupidest things that occur on a day to day basis. What can I say other than I'm beyond thankful that I am halfway able to get a six-pack from laughing because of my best friend (not really though but you get the idea).
