3 Reasons Why Summer Is Better Than Winter

Once upon a time I used to like winter. Honestly, I wanted cold weather the entire holiday seasons. Living in Gainesville, however; I got stuck with eighty degree weather all through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I kept wishing for cold weather all throughout the holidays, and now that it is January mother nature decided to get cold. Here's the thing though, once January hits I literally want nothing to do with the cold.

In the summer, I'm happier, skinnier, and tanner. I take back wishing for the cold. I'm currently day dreaming of warmer weather and sweet sweet summer time. So here's my four reason summer is better than winter any day.

Hey mother nature, please get it together and give me my warm Florida weather back. I swear I won't complain about the heat in two weeks.

Tan Skin

Literally nothing is better than being tan. It fixes everything. Skin breaking out? Tan. Not feeling so cute? Tan. Feeling overweight? Tan. Tan skin is an instant confidence booster.

The Beach

All I miss is relaxing on the beach all day. I could spend hours on hours at the beach and never get sick of it. Yes, one can still go to the beach in winter, but i's not the same. There is no better feeling then being so hot that you feel like spongebob out of water, and running into the refreshing salt water.

Blue Angels

To me, summer time means time for the Blue Angels. A time when all my friend get together at the beach to get drunk and watch planes fly. If you've never been, Pensacola Beach and the Blue Angels is a vacation that will never disappoint.

Shorts

I hate wearing jeans more than anything. They are so restricting and uncomfortable. Summer time means shorts all day everyday. There is literally nothing better.

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
