For those of you who don’t know, Lil’ Sebastian is the infamous miniature horse in the NBC show "Parks and Recreation." But he isn’t just any horse.

Just like Reveille isn’t just any dog.

Here are just a few of the many reasons why Reveille is the greatest mascot and worthy of Lil' Sebastian-caliber hype.

1. She is more than just a mascot.

Reveille is not just a person in a costume on the sidelines. She is not your average collie. She symbolizes the tradition and loyalty that Texas A&M values and holds so dearly (click here for the full history of how this awesome tradition came to be!) She embodies the Aggie spirit and like so much of it, she is remarkable in ways that words cannot describe.

2. She is loved by all.

Have you met an Aggie who isn’t completely and obnoxiously obsessed with Reveille? Yeah, didn’t think so.

3. Like, really loved.

Because I don’t think y’all get the entire picture. Am I dog person? Definitely not. But do I love her more than my own family? Possibly.

4. She is royalty.

She has the poise of Elizabeth Taylor. She has the personality of Oprah. She has the wits of Meryl Streep, and the power of Leslie Knope herself. She is beauty, she is grace. She is the Queen of Aggieland.

5. Reveille is present at all of the A-List events.

Rec-a-palooza. The Commons Reopening. Events too big and exclusive for me to even know about. On the field at every fightin’ Texas Aggie football game (WH**P). If Reveille isn’t there, is it even worth going?

6. Getting to meet her is every Aggie’s dream.

And speaking of, a certain Odyssey-writing, kind, redass gal has not yet had the honor *cough cough* Reveille, if you're reading this, let's be best friends please!!!

7. Miss Rev is attended to with the utmost of care. Just like Lil' Sebastian was...

In all seriousness, huge shout out to Company E-2, who for all the non-Ags out there, are given the responsibility of caring for Reveille. Thanks for being better handlers than Jerry/Larry/Garry.

8. Outsiders don’t get the hype.

The Ben Wyatts of the world just have to exist, don’t they? Unfortunately, like Ben, people who are not blessed with the opportunity to attend Texas A&M do not understand “what the big deal is anyways”. They truly don't know the joy they are missing out on. There’s a spirit can never be told, y’all…

9. We miss the former Revs in the saddest fashion.

The hit song “5000 Candles in the Wind” written by the world famous band Mouse Rat, is arguably one of the most iconic moments in Parks and Rec history. Naturally, Texas A&M also has similar memorials for our beloved former queens.

I hope maybe this article made you understand the hype at least a little bit better (unless you're completely lost because you still haven't had your life changed by "Parks and Recreation", and if that's the case I am truly sorry for all you are missing out on). Thanks and Gig 'em!

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
