6 Reasons Why We Can All Agree Luke Danes Is Bae

I've convinced myself that watching "Gilmore Girls" is educational. I mean the vocabulary is stellar and so are the life lessons. Basically, if a man came up to me wearing a flannel shirt and baseball cap, while talking about the diner he owned, I would be sold. Not only have we seen Luke grow as a person, but we've watched him evolve into a complete softie.

Remember when Lorelai and Rory walked into Luke's Diner for the first time? They plopped down at their famous table and casually begged for a coffee. If you are anything like me, your first thought about Luke was "Jeez, who peed in his cereal?" From then on who knew we would all fall endlessly in love with him. I mean who am I kidding? The man owns an endless supply of coffee! That's enough to make any girl fall in love.

But in reality, coming up with only six reasons why we love Luke was nothing short of impossible. But here are the contenders!

1. Luke is a father figure for Rory.

Luke is the typical father figure for Rory, especially before Christopher steps into the picture. He reminds Lorelai that no one is good enough to date Rory, even his own nephew Jess. *Hearts start pitter-pattering* Luke even punches Dean aka Mr. Nice Guy. It sounds a tad aggressive but his protectiveness is everything a woman craves.

2. He suffers through Lorelai and Rory's movie nights.

With Chinese food in one to-go container and a pizza box half empty, the Gilmore-style movie nights are everything we dream of. Do you remember when Luke goes over and watches Pippy Longstocking with Rory and Lorelai? And they start singing the theme song? He keeps his comments to himself and lets them do their thing. Luke appreciates the Gilmores for who they are.

3. He is supportive of Lorelai stepping out of her comfort zone.

Luke is always supportive. He reminds Lorelai to stop holding back and face her fears. For instance, Lorelai begins to run out of money to keep the Inn open. She fearfully asks Luke for $30,000, and he writes the check without questions. He puts others first even if he suffers deeply.

4. Luke opens his home to nephew Jess and daughter April.

I know #TeamJess and #TeamDean is a sensitive topic, but it takes a lot to open your home for an extended period of time. Even when Jess takes advantage of Luke's generosity he still wants the best for his nephew. With April, he is shocked when he initially finds out he has a daughter. And then he turns into "protective father" mode. Luke has a giving heart until someone takes advantage.

5. He loves his sister despite her being in and out of his life.

Liz may be a wackadoo, but he still stands by her when she gets married and gets pregnant. With her flakiness, Luke gives anything he can just to make her and T.J. happy.

6. Lastly, he treats Lorelai the way a woman should be treated.

Luke and Lorelai are the dream couple. They were always in love with each other, but always extinguished the feels and dated someone else. Luke watched Lorelai date Max, Alex, Jason, and Christopher {round two}. Lorelai heard about Luke dating Rachel, who was his long time lover. When they finally get together {spoiler} he reminds her that he's not going anywhere. oh, commitment *swoons*

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
