Reasons Jim and Pam Are The Ultimate Relationship Goals

The Office is my favorite TV show of all time. I'm currently re-watching every episode because I miss it and I'm sure this is one of the best decisions I've made in the past few days. If you've seen The Office, you're probably a hardcore Jam (Jim and Pam) shipper because HOW CAN YOU NOT SHIP THEM TOGETHER. They start acting cute and adorable from the first episode and they're not even together because Pam is engaged to Roy. Ever since I fell in love with Jim and Pam, I've always thought that they are the ultimate relationship goal.

1. They're super cute as best friends.

In the first few seasons Pam is engaged and Jim is single/dates a couple of ladies. From the first episode, we can tell that Jim has feelings for Pam and your heart is already feeling all the "Jam" feels. So not only are they relationship goals when they're actually together, but they're also best friend goals. I also think that being able to be best friends with your significant other is very important.

2. They're honest with each other.

It is SO important to be honest about your feelings. It doesn't matter the situation you're in, always be honest about how you feel. Jim tells Pam how he feels and it doesn't really end well.

Or does it?

And then Jim starts dating Karen and Pam decides to open up about her feelings and tell Jim that she called off the wedding because of him.

You go, Pam.

3. They support each other.

Pam sends cute notes, Jim supported the idea of Pam going to school. Ugh.

4. Their wedding was one of the best ones I've seen.

“Four years ago, I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl, who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing that I’ve ever had to do, which was just to… wait. Don’t get me wrong, I flirted with her. Pam, I can now admit in front of friends and family, that I do know how to make a photocopy. Didn’t need your help that many times. And, uh, do you remember how long it took you to teach me how to drive stick?
I’ve been driving stick since high school, so… For a really long time that’s all I had. Little moments with a girl who saw me as a friend.
And, a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl I work with but I think, even then I knew that… I was waiting for my wife.”

- Jim Halpert

This is one of my favorite episodes of the whole series. Watch it: it's season 6, episode 4 and 5.

5. Pam didn't know it, but Jim was FOR SURE convinced that Pam was the woman for him.

He bought the engagement ring a week after they started dating. I would think that's too soon, but they've both been waiting for each other since the moment they were born, let's be real.

6. They make a long-distance relationship work.

Long-distance relationships are difficult but they CAN work. Pam and Jim are a perfect example when Pam goes to school in New York and Jim stays in Scranton.

7. They're not perfect.

They're very realistic. For example, Pam gets pregnant before they get married. Not everyone gets married and then decide to have children. Sure, Cece was a surprise for them, but it didn't ruin anything. Also, the moment where they find out that Pam is pregnant always makes me smile so much that my face hurts.

8. Their baby is perfect. They are the most beautiful parents.

JUST LOOK AT THEM.

9. They show the world that dating dorky people is great.

Power to the dorky people.

10. They give each other the BEST gifts.

We all know that Jim's gifts to Pam are cute and meaningful (the cute teapot with inside jokes, the FREAKING HOUSE THEY LIVE IN) and Pam made Jim A FREAKING COMIC BOOK OF HIM.

11. Family Halloween costumes? YES.

He hesitated at first, but then he decided to be cute and be Pam's Popeye.

12. Even when they go through a tough time and they both feel like they're not good enough for each other, they work things out and stay perfect.

I was so close to writing the writers of the show an angry letter if they broke Pam and Jim up, but they didn't because they're perfect and totally deserve each other.

*cue tears*

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

9 Reasons Why Friends Are Essential In College

College without friends is like peanut butter without jelly.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies. Here is a few signs that you may live in the library, whether you'd like to admit it or not.
