Jaclyn Hill, a Youtube Beauty Guru, currently has 4.6 million subscribers and counting. She is a bubbly, fun-loving, badass woman who can slay a cat-eye like no other. I started following her when she had about 20,000 subscribers, so I have watched her grow from almost the beginning. I can honestly say that she has been one of the most influential people when it came to not only my makeup skills, but my self-confidence.

1. She built herself up from the bottom, and she is now thriving.

Jaclyn started off her Youtube career with dark lighting and a bad camera, but her talent still shined through. She even took a break from Youtube for a few months because she didn't think it was going to go anywhere. However, when she started filming again, she began growing and became who she is today. The best part is, she remains humble and thankful when it comes to her subscribers.

2. She's a boss ass bitch

Jaclyn Hill is so unapologetically herself. Many people criticizing her for being a "poser" when she wears more alternative clothing. In reality, when she was a teenager, this is how she dressed all the time. She had a nose ring and a lip ring, refusing to take them out for her wedding, which she says that she's very happy about. It was represented who she was at the time, and even though she's grown out of it a little, that girl is still in her. She is never afraid to wear what she wants and own it.

3. She has an obsession with dogs.

She has always been a dog lover, especially with Shih Tzus, which happen to be my favorite dog as well. For a few years, her subscribers and followers have fallen in love with her older dogs Georgie and Frankie, but she recently got Lolli and Tipsy and we are dying from the cuteness!

4. She's open about her mental health struggles.

Jaclyn is very relatable because she has always been very upfront. She speaks about her anxiety and her problems with it and tries to reach out and help others with their own journey.

5. Obviously, her makeup skills are bomb.

This one goes without saying, but her makeup skills are out of this world. Her success had led her to become an ambassador for Morphe, to partner with Becca Cosmetics to create a highlighter, and she also has her very own eyeshadow palette!

6. She and her husband are actually goals. Like wow.

And they had a glow up like normal people! Even though they look awesome beforehand.

7. She's so incredibly real and honest.

A big problem many people have with Youtubers is that when they are sponsored or sent products, they are not truthful. They are accused of giving products a good review for money. However, when Jaclyn Hill does reviews, she makes it a point to speak honestly and criticize and praise products if appropriate.

I cannot even begin to over all of the positive attributes about Jaclyn Hill. She is so inspiring to me and makes me want to work as hard as she has. She's been on her grind for so long, and I can't wait to see the rest of her accomplishments.

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
