"It's a Wonderful Life" is an old Christmas classic. It was produced by Frank Capra and originally released in Theaters on Dec. 20, 1946.

Although it was made nearly 70 years ago, there's no denying that it is still one of the best Christmas movies of all time.

This comedy-drama film follows the life of George Bailey, a businessman and owner of a small town bank, who decides to kill himself on Christmas Eve. Luckily, before his life is taken, an angel, Clarence, stops him and shows him what the world would be like had he never been born. George learns to appreciate his life, family, and business by the end of the movie, with an incredibly heart-warming ending.

1. It's impossible to not be charmed by the young George Bailey, who always tries to do the right thing with his wide, whimsical imagination.

2. Even as an adult, Bailey was by far the most considerate and helpful person in the movie's fictional town of Bedford Falls.

3. It's especially heart-warming to see George and Mary's romantic relationship blossom, starting in their childhood.

4. And continuing on to their adult lives, as we witness George's smooth lines expressing his affection for his childhood sweetheart.

5. We also got to see George's killer dance moves.

6. .... which landed George and Mary in a pool.

7. During the movie, it's disheartening to watch George go through rough times, but the truth is everyone has been discouraged at some point in their lives. Sometimes people need angels like Clarence to show them why life is wonderful.

8. And although George sometimes contemplated the importance of his life during hard times...

9. In the end, he realizes that his life, and everything that comes with it, is worth living.

10. George's happiness is our happiness!

11. His realization that his family is everything warms our hearts in the last few scenes, as he kisses and hugs them all over and over once he gets back from his attempted suicide.

12. The movie is full of wisdom and life-altering quotes that show that every life is important and worth living.

13. "It's a Wonderful Life" teaches an important lesson that everyone can learn from: "Remember, no man is a failure who has friends."

14. Because life is really all about your family and those who care about you.

15. Especially around the holidays.

16. George's ultimate realization of why life is so wonderful is what makes the movie so great, as he goes around town expressing gratitude for everyone, even completely random people he sees on the street.

Best movie ever.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.
