Reasons I'm Thankful For Room 115.

College is a time for learning in more ways than one. Besides just academically learning, you learn more about yourself. That can be a scary and nerve racking process. Trying to figure out who you are and who you want to be for the rest of your life. But one of the things you can expect in college is meeting some of the greatest people. They see you at your worst and see you at your best. They willingly take countless selfies with you before a night out and are always there to take pictures of you stuffing your face with pizza at the end of the night. They tell you countless times that you're going to ace a test, though they know you spent the last week watching Grey's Anatomy instead of studying. College is stressful, but there are so many reasons to be thankful for the people you meet.

Living with 6 girls in one room can be chaotic (or psychotic) to say the least. But the lessons learned and the friendships made are worth more than the amount of times you want to throw your $200 textbook at someone for singing that Justin Bieber song just one too many times. So here's a thank you to the unforgettable friends I’ve made in room 115.

1. Thank you the random dance parties. Thank you for turning on throwback Taylor Swift and just jamming out. Our dancing may be awful and our singing may be even worse, but there is no better stress reliever than yelling at each other as to what song to put on next. From "Our Song" to "Shake it Off" and every song in between, I'm glad I have someone to scream the lyrics with.

2. Thank you for the endless complaining. Thank you for letting me complain about anything and everything. Complaining about the test I'm just sure I'll fail or how I without a doubt deserved a higher grade. The fact that my hair isn't doing what I want today or that today is just "the worse day of my life." Thank you for going along with my constant complaining when there’s nothing to complain about at all.

3. Thank you for the endless amount of times I've borrowed your clothes. We're leaving in an hour, I still haven't done my make up, and I'm not even dressed. Clothes cover our floor and someone's burning their hand on a hair curler. I've emptied about all my drawers and still nothing fits "right." Thank you for letting me destroy your closet in the process of trying to look “fire” for our night out.

4. Thank you for making me a better person. Thank you for making me admit that I don’t have to be so guarded all the time. Thank you for making me focus on my work and telling me what I need to hear when I don’t want to hear it. Thank you for sitting me down and have many “interventions” when I don’t want to realize what I actually deserve. From putting the quote above my bed saying “It’s okay to be happy” to reminding me everyday I don’t deserve the worst, you’ve taught me more than you can ever imagine. Even when I don’t act like it, your advice sticks in my head more than you'd ever know.

5. Thank you for making all the little things big. From celebrating National Diabetes day to decorating for Christmas two months early. Every event is an adventure and every adventure is a memory that I’ll be thankful to have for years to come.

6. Thank you for the constant binge eating with me. Whether it’s eating a whole bowl of Halloween candy or mac and cheese bites at 11 at night. Thank you for not passing judgment and always reassuring me that I without a doubt need that second slice of pizza even though I haven’t been to the gym all week.

7. Thank you for trying to help me break bad habits. From talking too fast, to talking to that same old boy again. I appreciate all the effort. Trying to get me to form new study habits and reminding me that no, checking Instagram again is not needed. Bad habits are hard to break, but always a little better with the help of even better friends.

8. Thank you for dealing with my constant story telling. The same stories over and over again. Thank you for accepting my life isn’t that interesting and yes I will tell you ten more times that I made eye contact with the cute football player walking back form class today.

9. Thank you for letting me get you addicted to different TV shows and getting me addicted to yours. Because what’s a better way to procrastinate than binge watching Greys Anatomy in the living room when we all have tests coming up.

10. Thank you for the movie nights. The nights where we all stay in and just talk and laugh. Just hanging out in our sweatpants and eating all the food we shouldn’t. Sometimes the nights stayed in are the best nights you can have.

11. Thank you for letting me be over dramatic. Yes I know my life isn’t over just because I tripped up the stairs on the way to class. And thank you for letting me complain that, without a doubt, I have some incurable disease every time the school's food makes me feel sick.

12. Thank you for letting me ask which Instagram filter looks the best. Or which selfie to post. Or which picture from the night before is the least rachet. Thank you for sending me 100 pictures from last night to choose which one to post because you know we all looked “fire” before the night even started. And thank you for taking pictures at the end of the night to laugh about over brunch in the morning.

Most importantly thank you for the memories I’ve made in room 115. Thank you for making me laugh when all I want to do is cry. Thank you for making me laugh until I cry. Thank you for teaching me that not everything has to be serious. Thank you for being not only great roommates, but also great friends.

If I have learned one thing in my lifetime, it is that friends are a privilege. No one is required to give you their company and yet there is some sort of shared connection that keeps you together. And from that friendship, you may even find yourself lucky enough to have a few more friends, thus forming a group. Here are just a few signs that prove your current friend group is the ultimate friend group.

When it comes to television, there’s very few sets of on-screen siblings that a lot of us can relate to. Only those who have grown up with siblings knows what it feels like to fight, prank, and love a sibling. Ross and Monica Geller were definitely overbearing and overshared some things through the series of "Friends," but they captured perfectly what real siblings feel in real life. Some of their antics were funny, some were a little weird but all of them are completely relatable to brothers and sisters everywhere.

Every kid in college and/or high school dreams of summer the moment they walk through the door on the first day back in September. It becomes harder and harder to focus in classes and while doing assignments as the days get closer. The winter has been lagging, the days are short and dark, and no one is quite themselves due to lack of energy and sunlight. Let's face it: life is ten times better in the summertime.
